An ideal candidate has:

• BA, BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics or a related discipline;
• Knowledge of statistics and probability and their application to quantitative analysis;
• Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment;
• Strong knowledge of statistical software (e.g. R, Python etc);
• Experience with handling and managing large datasets;
• Experience with data visualization tools;
• Ability to learn new subjects quickly and thoroughly;
• Excellent spoken and written English;
• Ability to work as a team member and independently.

We also think that:

• Experience with large-scale analysis of next generation DNA sequencing data and familiarity with genomic or health related data are a plus;
• Experience working with database structures (MySQL) and familiarity with database query performance optimization is a plus;
• Experience with machine learning is a plus;
• Experience with other scripting and compiled languages is a plus;
• Experience with cloud computing is a plus.

İŞ TANIMI

As a member of our global R&D team, you will research and apply cutting edge statistical and machine learning methods to draw novel insight from genomics datasets. You will develop new strategies and tools for analyzing and visualizing next generation DNA sequencing and associated clinical data. Working collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team of R&D engineers, clinical geneticists, computer scientists, mathematicians and statisticians, you will develop and apply rigorous statistical, modeling, simulation, and predictive analytics to genomics and biomedical datasets.
